NRC-IRAP helps small - and medium-sized Canadian firms build their capability in technology and innovation. Our Industrial Technology Advisors (ITAs) work with you on-site to assess your company's needs and design solutions tailored to your business.
IRAP offers you direct technical assistance, access to the latest technological advances, expertise, facilities, and resources, as well as cost-shared financing of innovative technical projects.
Twenty-five ITAs work in Alberta and the Northwest Territories. They manage assigned areas and serve as sector specialists. Key industrial sectors include the resource-based industries, manufacturing, and the service industries. Expertise spans a range of key technologies such as electronics, biotechnology, materials, telecommunications, and information technology.

NEWS- NRC-IRAP Alberta and Northwest Territories
NRC-IRAP Alberta/North West Territories has taken a bold step to give its clients better and faster service. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Alberta Food Processors Association ( AFPA) , Alberta Financial Services Corporation (AFSC), AVAC Ltd. (AVAC ) and NRC-IRAP was signed in April 2003 , to allow these agencies to discuss confidential client information. The MOU is intended to overcome difficulties faced by the Agrivalue Business Facilitors, who were hampered in their efforts to discuss problems related to client service because of confidentiality issues.
