Current Collaborations with Other Government Departments:

NRC-IMTI values its work with other governmental research organizations and programs as they cooperate to bring advanced manufacturing technologies to industries. In addition, NRC-IMTI has performed several inter-Institute collaborative projects.

  • Chemo-biomimetic nano-grain sized hydroxyapatate coating on new composite bio materials for hip prosthesis

Collaborators: Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR), London Health Science Centre Research Inc. (LHSCRI)

  • Deep brain stimulating and a treatment system for motor dysfunction diseases such as Parkinson's disease

  • Laser consolidation of structural components for Advanced Robotic Mechatronic Systems (ARMS)
