Employment History
Prior to being elected to the House of Assembly, Mr. d'Entremont worked as a development officer, a radio announcer, and has been involved in the fishing and boatbuilding industries.
Political Career
Chris d'Entremont was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in August, 2003,
and re-elected in June 2006. His Cabinet duties have included Minister
of Agriculture and Fisheries and Minister of Acadian Affairs. In
February 2006, Mr. d'Entremont was appointed Minister of Health, Minister of Acadian Affairs and Chair of the Senior Citizen's Secretariat. His prior involvement in politics includes serving as Executive Assistant to the former Minister of Finance and Acadian Affairs, Neil LeBlanc, and a member of the Argyle Municipal Planning Commission.
Community Involvement
Mr. d'Entremont has served in many volunteer organizations, such as le Festival Acadien de Sainte Anne-du-Ruisseau, and the Rotary Club of Yarmouth. Mr. d'Entremont is currently serving as treasurer for the South West Nova Scouting Council, and treasurer and volunteer with the Eel Brook Fire Department.
Family
Mr. d'Entremont is married to Anne Muise and has two sons.
