B.C. WINS FOREIGN TOBACCO SUIT
 
VANCOUVER – The B.C. Court of Appeal has ruled unanimously in favour of the Province of British Columbia holding that the B.C. courts have jurisdiction over foreign tobacco companies named in B.C.’s health-care costs recovery action.

STANLEY PARK PLAYGROUND REDEVELOPED
 
VANCOUVER – Today, the families of victims of the bombing of Air India Flight 182 gathered with federal, provincial and local officials at a groundbreaking ceremony in Stanley Park. The groundbreaking marks the start of a project to redevelop Ceperley Playground to honour the memory of the victims.
