Offers information for youth on Lymphogranuloma venereum or LGV or Lymphogranuloma inguinale, (a sexually-transmitted infection (STI) caused by the bacteria Chlamydia trachomatis), including signs and symptoms, causes, prevention, and treatment of LGV.
Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV) is a previously rare sexually transmitted infection (STI) in Canada, which has recently re-emerged. If left untreated, LGV can lead to painful health problems, and in rare cases, genital mutilation and death.
