Functional materials

Materials with a specific function or enhanced performance can improve both products and processes. ICPET is working to develop novel, advanced materials (such as polymers), as well as unique materials for energy production and chemical sensors.

The goal is to improve the quality, function or performance of these materials and then integrate them into advanced products or processes such as fuel cells, micro-devices, high performance batteries and tissue engineering applications.

Collaborating with research partners, ICPET is developing new or improved functional materials that will impact areas as diverse as medical science and telecommunications.
