Genomics & Gene Therapy Vectors - Partnership Opportunities
The Genomics and Gene Therapy Vectors group collaborates with a number of Canadian and international industrial partners, including biotechnology, biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical companies.
The Genomics and Gene Therapy Vectors research team operates two specialized facilities which offer their services to the industry. Its Flow Cytometry Facility offers analysis and sorting services while the Microscopy and Imaging Facility provides workstations for live and fixed cell image capture as well as unique micromanipulation capabilities.
The group also offers unique licensing opportunities for proprietary technologies such as its cumate switch which has significant applications for the production of biotherapeutics, new cell lines and a serum-free method for production of recombinant proteins and adenovirus vectors and libraries.
- A system for inducible expression in eukaryotic cells (NRC no. 11225);
- Serum-free production of recombinant proteins and adenoviral vectors (NRC no. 10894);
- Efficient generation of adenovirus-based libraries by positive selection of adenoviral recombinants through ectopic expression of the adenovirus protease (NRC no. 10890).
