The Millimetre Astronomy Group provides support for Canadian astronomers using the
James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) by building new instrumentation for
the telescope, through programs such as CANSERV, and by providing staff to the
Joint Astronomy Centre (JAC) which operates the JCMT on behalf of the Particle
Physics and Astronomy Research Council of the United Kingdom, the
Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, and the National
Research Council of Canada.
