MicroArray - Complementary Services

The Microarray Facility and other groups at BRI offer complementary genomics-based services.

Standard, High-throughput and Specialty DNA Synthesis
The Microarray Facility offers various DNA synthesis services. High-throughput synthesis in 96well plates is available for the standard production of oligonucleotides in 10, 25 or 50nmole scale. With this platform, regular or modified oligonucleotides (ex. C6 et C12-amino linkers) can be provided on larger-scale synthesis (25 or 50nmole). The laboratory has successfully synthesized oligonucleotides of up to 156 bases in length. Standard and specialty synthesis are also available for the production of oligonucleotides in 50, 200 nmole and 1µmole scale. Modifided oligonucleotides (ex.5' phosphate, aminolinker, fluorophores) can be provided.

The Facility offers purification of all its oligonucleotides by desalting or Trityl-ON. A systematic quality control by PAGE and/or mass spectrometry is performed on all oligonucleotides produced by the Facility.

High-throughput amplification and purification of PCRs
The Microarray Facility offers PCR amplifications in 96well plates, purification, quality control by agarose gel electrophoresis, quantification and data archival in the BRIDNA database.

Robotic transfers from 96 to 384well plates
The Microarray Facility can provide robotic transfer services for the purpose of dilutions or propagation of libraries.

Others
Clients can also benefit from complementary expertise available at the BRI in HTS, such as cherry-picking and consolidation of amplicon/EST libraries.
