Mr. Subash C. Vohra, P. Eng.

Director General, NRC Administrative Services and Property Management Branch

Subash Vohra, the Director General of the NRC Administrative Services and Property Management Branch (NRC-ASPM), joined NRC in 1966. Mr. Vohra has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in property management and management of human, financial and material resources, including serving for ten years as the director of facilities engineering and maintenance at NRC-ASPM.

Mr. Vohra holds two B.Sc. degrees from Punjab University, India, one of which is in Mechanical Engineering. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and  the American Society of Heating and Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Many of Mr. Vohra's projects have been considered best practices in the public and the private sector. He is the recipient of the first Federal Energy Innovation Award, the Treasury Board Award for Leadership in the Federal Real Property Community, Ontario Hydro's Energy Efficiency Award, the ASHRAE Technology Award, the Governor General of Canada's Medal for Contributions to Canada and the 2002 Golden Jubilee Medal . Mr. Vohra has been recognized in the engineering community for his leadership in energy management that contributed to NRC being considered a pioneer in energy efficiency.
