Access to Nature's Collections

At the Canadian Museum of Nature, we're firm believers in putting the collections to work. Scientific researchers, educators, artists, museums, government employees and members of the public are welcome to enquire about gaining access to Nature's collections. Individuals, and school and other groups are invited to tour our most popular exhibitions in the Victoria Memorial Museum Building, or to register for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at our collections in the Natural Heritage Building.

Travelling Exhibitions
No matter where you are, the Canadian Museum of Nature can visit you! Museums, zoos, art galleries, exhibition centres, or other institutions are invited to book one of our travelling exhibitions.

Inter-library Loans
Nature's interlibrary loan service can provide loans to external users through their own libraries.

Collections Loans
Specimens from the collections are available for loan, for research or exhibit purposes, by qualified researchers and institutions. Special arrangements may also be considered to lease specimens and objects for other purposes.



Reproduction Rights

Looking for just the right nature image, or would you like to copy or reproduce text or images from one of our publications?

Specimens for loan to educators
We have a collection of 200 mounted specimens for use in your classroom. They're easy to transport, effective to use and beautiful to behold.
