Microbial Pilot Plant

The BRI Microbial Fermentation Pilot Plant offers to the industry its renowned know-how and facilities to efficiently and confidentially develop, optimize and scale up microbial fermentation processes, and to recover, purify and characterize microbial products. In the last fifteen years, the Facility has been routinely used to:

• Produce preclinical material and research reagents
• Obtain engineering data on process performance
• Develop emerging fermentation processes into industrially relevant processes
• Train highly qualified personnel in microbial fermentation technology
• Train client personnel to facilitate technology transfer
