NRC-IRAP Partnerships

IRAP maintains strong partner relationships with organizations at the regional, national and international level whose capabilities extend and complement NRC's contributions to the Canadian Innovation System for the benefit of SMEs.

Partner Organizations

Through its links with more than 100 partner organizations, NRC-IRAP taps into the full power of Canada's Innovation System, both nationally and internationally, for the benefit of Canadian SMEs. IRAP continues to strengthen its connections with Canada's universities, technical and community colleges.

Innovation System Players

IRAP also plays a critical role in bringing together the key players in the Canadian Innovation System for the benefit of SMEs. Extensive networks link entrepreneurs, players knowledgeable about local sources of financing, R&D institutions and technology brokers, and technology transfer centres.

Oséo/Anvar - L'agence française de l'innovation

Anvar   Part of the Oséo Group, Anvar is an innovation oriented agency located in France, and shares many of our NRC-IRAP objectives. Anvar's mission is to support innovation within French SMEs, businesses in development as well as research laboratories (towards technology transfers). Anvar encourages the participation of French businesses in European projects through economic intelligence and the Centres Relais Innovation (CRI), supported by the European Commission.

Anvar programs allow for the sharing of the financial risk associated with the development of a new product, process or service involving technology or technology transfer.

Similar to NRC-IRAP, Anvar enters the scene when it is most difficult to find funding, and where the risks are highest. The agreement between NRC-IRAP and Oséo/Anvar focuses on ways to encourage technology partnerships between Canadian SMEs and SMEs in France and Europe.
