The Natural Gas Technologies Centre's mission is to conduct applied research, technical development and technology transfer in partnership with industries, natural gas utilities and research centres so as to provide natural gas users with technologies that meet their needs.

Created by Gaz Métropolitain and Industry Canada through the Technology Outreach Program (TOP), the Natural Gas Technologies Centre (NGTC) is dedicated to enhancing the productivity and competitiveness of Canadian industry by promoting the acquisition, dissemination, and use of advanced gas technologies. We have skills and experience in gas technology development and in the science of thermal processes applied to energy utilization. In 1994, Gaz de France joined NGTC as a founding member, making it easier to access new markets for the equipment developed at the Centre and adding the know-how of this world-class research centre.
