Home Programs Crime prevention Evaluation

Evaluation

Evaluation is a key activity in the implementation of the National Crime Prevention Strategy. NCPC promotes evaluation through its three funding streams. The results of project evaluations contribute to public education and to our ongoing research. They help in identifying promising crime prevention practices and approaches. Evaluation activities allow Canadian communities, researchers and policy-makers to continually improve crime prevention initiatives, locally and nationally. Periodically, the Strategy itself also undergoes external evaluation to ensure goals are being met.
