The past year has been an exciting and challenging time for the Canadian Emergency Management College. Ever increasing attention to emergency management from governments across Canada has underlined the importance of our work and has made it a matter of public discussion. We welcome that attention and hope that it will continue. Working closely with our federal government colleagues, provincial counterparts and municipal and other stakeholders across Canada has brought new energy and purpose to our work. We have assessed training needs and reviewed our mandate and curriculum while continuing to deliver high-calibre training to students from across Canada. I am very proud of this effort and applaud College staff for their personal and professional commitment to making the most of this important national institution. We all look forward to building on these efforts in the coming year.
