PSEPC provides funding to Aboriginal police services for crime prevention initiatives through the Policing, Corrections and Community Fund. To be eligible for funding, projects must aim to: - involve Aboriginal police services or other community police services working in partnership with Aboriginal communities
- promote social development through community-based policing projects
- increase community capacity and participation in crime prevention activities
- assist in the development of safe, sustainable communities
- demonstrate the potential to encourage and facilitate partnerships
- develop tools and strategies useful in other communities or nationally
