1 2000 Fatalities: 12; injured: 140 map
Pine Lake, AB / August / A 300-km/hr tornado hit a campground. 1,000 people were displaced, recreational vehicles destroyed, and there were $12 million in damages.

2 1999 Fatalities: 1; injured: 4 map
Drummondville, QC / July / Roof ripped from 20 homes, 60 others damaged, 200 people evacuated and $12.4 million in damages.

3 1996 injured: 9 map
Grey, Wellington and Dufferin Counties, ON / April / Two F3 tornadoes caused $12.3 million in damage.

4 1994 injured: 4 map
Aylmer, QC / August / 1000 people had to be evacuated after this F3 tornado caused $14.4 million in damages to 385 homes and other buildings.

5 1991 injured: 15 map
St. Lawrence Valley, QC / August / Maskinongé was hardest hit among three communities with 60 percent of buildings damaged; lost electricity, telephone and drinking water; $25.4 million in damages.

6 1990 injured: 6 map
Southern Ontario / August / Several tornadoes were spawned by this storm front, causing $1.2 million in damages to crops and buildings.

7 1987 Fatalities: 27; injured: 300 map
Edmonton, AB / July / Thousands homeless, damage of $662.3 million.

8 1985 Fatalities: 12; injured: 155 map
Hopeville to Barrie, ON / May / More than 1,000 buildings damaged at a cost of $301 million.

9 1975 Fatalities: 3; injured: 59 map
Trois Rivières, QC / July / 918 people had to be relocated after this late after-noon tornado damaged 75 homes and caused $34.6 million in damages.

10 1974 Fatalities: 9; injured: 30 map
Windsor, ON / April / Damage of $1.8 million.

11 1970 Fatalities: 6; injured: 200 map
Sudbury, ON / August / Damage of $45.5 million.

12 1953 Fatalities: 7; injured: 40 map
Sarnia, ON / May / 500 people had to be evacuated after this tornado caused $59.7 million in damages.

13 1946 Fatalities: 17; injured: hundreds map
Windsor to Tecumseh, ON / June / Damage conservatively estimated at $9.7 million.

14 1922 Fatalities: 5, and scores injured map
Portage la Prairie, MB / June / Damage of $20 million.

15 1912 Fatalities: 28; injured: hundreds map
Regina, SK / June / Damage of $45 million.

16 1892 Fatalities: 6; injured: 26 map
