Norm Woodbeck

Manager, Quality Assurance Standards and Reinspection

Norm Woodbeck has served the CGC since 1975 when he began his career in the former Inspection Division in Thunder Bay, Ont. He has worked in Prince Rupert, B.C., and Port Cartier, Que., where he was inspector-in-charge of inspection operations, and in Chatham, Ont. where he was operations manager, Industry Services. From October 1997 to August 1999, Norm Woodbeck served as regional director, Prairie Region. In September 1999, he became head, Eastern Grain Inspection Program, serving areas in southern Ontario, the St. Lawrence and the Maritimes. From March 2002 to September 2002, he served as acting chief grain inspector for Canada.

Norm Woodbeck has represented the CGC on industry-based committees, on variety recommending committees, and on technical missions to customer countries to promote the CGC's quality assurance program. In January 2003, he assumed the role of manager, quality assurance standards.
