Liliane Maisonneuve

Liliane Coutu Maisonneuve serves as assistant commissioner for Alberta. Ms Maisonneuve has been involved in the grain industry all her life. She was raised in the farming community of Brosseau-Duvernay in Alberta. From 1974 to 1997, she co owned and co operated a grain and oilseed farm with her late husband Marcel at Guy, Alberta in the Peace River area.

Liliane Maisonneuve has been involved with associations such as the Alberta Canola Growers Association and the Canadian Seed Growers Association, and served as president of the Promotion Committee for the Alberta Canola Growers Association. She has also participated in promotion missions to Japan, Korea and Mexico.

Liliane Maisonneuve has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta. She is very active in the francophone community and continues to manage her farm in the Peace River area. She was appointed assistant commissioner on June 15, 2005.
