Henri Tousignant

Mr. Tousignant has many years experience in the private and public sectors. From 1960 to 1979, he was owner of a construction and engineering business and a transport company. He later served as member of Parliament for the constituency of Temiscamingue, Québec and as parliamentary secretary for the departments of Public Works, Indian and Northern Affairs, and Industry and Commerce. Most recently, he has been an administrator for various companies and editor for a radio station in Sorel, Québec.

Throughout his career, Mr. Tousignant has been active in professional and community organizations as a municipal councillor, promoter for James Bay development, provincial president of l'Association des propriétaires de machinerie lourde du Québec, and director of l'exécutif provincial des Transporteurs d'écoliers du Québec. He is currently honorary lieutenant colonel, 9th Squadron of Engineers, Reserve.
