Irene Horon was appointed as manager of Administration in April 2005.
In July 2001, Irene Horon began working at the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) as manager of Employee Services. In this position she developed a number of procedures and guidelines, as well as CGC’s training policy and recognition awards policy. She also led a variety of projects and new initiatives.
Prior to that, she was employed with Health Canada since 1991 in a variety of human resources and administration positions.
From 1988 to 1998 she was owner of a retail business in Winnipeg.
Irene Horon holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in psychology and sociology, from the University of Winnipeg.
