Jody Norminton

Operations Supervisor, Brandon Service Centre

Jody Norminton began his career with the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) as an assistant grain weigher at the inland terminal in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1980. He became a grain weigher in 1985 and worked in this capacity until 1994 when he became weigher-in-charge at the terminal in Saskatoon.

In 1995, his career at the CGC changed directions when he became an assistant grain inspector. In 1998, he became a grain inspector and moved to Brandon, Manitoba. In 2002, he accepted the position of operations supervisor for the Brandon Service Centre where he continues to be employed.

Jody Norminton has worked in different capacities at many locations across the country, from Quebec City, Quebec to Vancouver, British Columbia. He has been both weigher-in-charge and inspector-in-charge for the Port of Churchill.

In his current capacity, Jody Norminton is responsible for the co-ordination and monitoring of all inspection and weighing activities that take place out of the Brandon Service Centre.
