Joey Vanneste started working in the grain industry in 1993 and joined the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) in 2001 as an assistant grain inspector in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Before assuming his current position, he was a grain inspector at the CGC’s Service Centre in Melville, Saskatchewan.
Joey is responsible for the Saskatoon and Melville Service Centres which serve producers, processors, primary elevators and seed cleaning plants located in various communities across the prairies.
Trained in the area of grain grading, inspection and weighing, service centre staff provide customers with service such as quality and quantity assurance, timely advice and accurate information devoted to helping producers and industry succeed in tough competitive markets.
