The following activities are aimed at students who are 12 to 14 years old. We do recommend however, that teachers deliver a short lesson on emergency preparedness and disasters before distributing the puzzles to the students. Other Web resources such as the Canadian Red Cross site can also provide valuable additional information to teachers.
Puzzles and identification games are great tools to help develop observation, thinking and analytic skills. The puzzles below deal with the general theme of emergency preparedness.
