Reinspection Requests

• Requests must be submitted within 15 calendar days of official inspection.
• To find out more about this program, email: CGCReinspection@grainscanada.gc.ca.
• These forms are to be used by the client to initiate reinspections.
• Forms were designed for users to complete electronically and send via email.

Official sample reinspection

• Form I-70A, Official sample reinspection request (Word format)

This form is to be used to request a reinspection on official grades assigned to railcars entering terminal or transfer elevators, only when the company cannot enter their own reinspection request through the I-70 computer program.

Reinspection record

• Form I-70B, Reinspection record (Word format)

This form is to be used to request a reinspection on official grades certified on the following CGC certificates:

• I-7
• I-12
• I-17
• ED-3

What to do

Word format

1. Open the form in Microsoft Word
2. Enter information in each form field. Use Tab or arrow keys to move between fields.
3. On the File menu, select Save As
4. In the File name box, name the completed form and save.
5. Attach the completed form to an email.
6. Send to email: CGCReinspection@grainscanada.gc.ca

Adobe PDF format

If you are unable to use the electronic Word forms, print the PDF format, complete it and fax to (204) 983-7550.
