Twenty-one grains photo gallery

Why are the 21 grains important?

Twenty-one seeds are designated as grain under the Canada Grain Act. These grains are protected by security held by the Canadian Grain Commission. If a licensee refuses or fails to pay, the producer can make a claim against security for these grains. If the grain is not on the list, it is not protected by security.
