Preparing the media advisoryThe media advisory will notify the media in advance of an activity/event/announcement. No longer than one page, it is used as a “teaser” to pique media interest. It should be faxed a few days in advance and each media outlet should be contacted by you via phone or e-mail to confirm they received it. When writing a media advisory, remember: - It is a brief outline of what is happening.
- It will state who will be there or who will be speaking.
- It will state where and when the event is to take place.
- It will have a contact number where media can reach you.
- It will be short and simple.
