The Military Police Complaints Commission (MPCC) is conducting a public interest investigation into allegations of police misconduct

Ottawa - The MPCC has recently received a complaint regarding the conduct of certain members of 22 Wing Military Police at CFB North Bay.

This complaint involves several alleged incidents of harassment by means of abuse of police authority over a protracted period of time. If true, these allegations would raise further serious questions about the adequacy of the local military police supervisory structure. Accordingly, the Chairperson of the Commission decided, pursuant the section 250.38(l) of the National Defence Act to conduct an investigation in this matter, in the public interest.
