PWGSC Vision*
To be the provider of best value common and central
services to the Government of Canada and Canadians, which is delivered
through strong ethical leadership and sound management.

PWGSC's Mission
PWGSC delivers client-focused common services to
government, ensuring best value for taxpayers. We provide innovative
solutions for our clients, while respecting the values of prudence,
probity and transparency. While focusing on what we do best -- providing
efficient services within a framework driven by values -- we help
departments focus on what they do best -- delivering results for
Canadians.
PWGSC's Statement of Values

Industrial Security Sector Vision
To be the Canadian Government Centre of Excellence
for industrial security.
Industrial Security Sector Mission
We deliver results-oriented industrial security
services to:
- ensure appropriate safeguarding of sensitive
government assets and controlled goods to protect Canadians and
our allies, and maintain their trust;
- enable Canadian industry to access sensitive
domestic and international opportunities to support Canada's economic
growth.
We do this by:
- offering timely and efficient best-value service
to our clients - private industry, Canadian and foreign government
colleagues;
- respecting the need for prudence, probity and
transparency in all that we do; and,
- providing a professional and supportive workplace.
Mandate
Canadian and International Industrial Security Directorate
To safeguard CLASSIFIED and/or PROTECTED information
and assets entrusted to industry when they are awarded CLASSIFIED and/or PROTECTED contracts by PWGSC as the contracting authority,
by other federal departments when awarded within their own authorities,
as well as from foreign governments.
Controlled Goods Directorate
To safeguard the possession, transfer and disposition
of controlled goods from unauthorized access.
Program Harmonization and Services Directorate
To provide the following services to the sector: strategic and
operational planning; policy development and implementation; performance
measurement; financial management; information technology; administration;
human resources; and, training.
