 New Policy on Security Plans

A Security Plan is required only if the registered person is in possession of controlled goods. If you access controlled goods at another registered person’s site, and will not be in possession of controlled goods, you are not required to establish and implement a security plan.

 Will your registration expire soon?

It is the registered person’s responsibility to renew their registration with the CGD by submitting a completed renewal Application for Registration form, prior to their registration expiring. We try to contact each registered person prior to their registration expiring, but are not always able to do so. Therefore, please note when your registration is scheduled to expire and submit your renewal forms two months prior to your expiry date. Not sure of your expiry date? Simply verify your certificate of registration or visit our online list of registered persons.

 Online List of Registered Persons

The CGD Web site provides an online list of registered persons, which is used by industry and government to verify whether their industry partners are registered with the CGD. To provide registered persons with increased confidence regarding access to this information, a review will be conducted to confirm the content, structure and security of this information. This review will be conducted in consultation and partnership with the Industrial Security Advisory Board (ISAB), which was organized by the Industrial Security Sector of PWGSC to establish a consultation forum with industry. For more information on the ISAB and its members, please visit: www.iss.gc.ca.
