Tips for Clients

The following tips may help make sure the CPC receives your application quickly and will show you how to find more information about application processing:

  • When possible, please send applications to CPCs using a method that will provide you with a confirmation of receipt, such as Xpresspost™, available through Canada Post.
  • Advise CIC as soon as possible if there are changes to the information you submitted. Use the Change of Address service if you have moved.
  • Make sure your application contains all the necessary information.
  • If your application is currently in process, use e-Client Application Status.
