Information for immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents

Priority processing for Family Class applicants

To help reunite families, CIC is giving priority consideration to new and existing Family Class applications for permanent residence from people who are directly affected by the situation in Lebanon. Protected persons in Canada who are in the process of applying for permanent residence and have included a dependent residing in Lebanon in their application will also receive priority consideration.

Please click on the links below for important information on how to apply, and how to ensure your application receives priority consideration, whether it is new or already in process.

While CIC is making every effort to expedite Family Class applications, please be aware that processing does take time. All requirements still need to be met, including security and medical criteria.
