Minister Solberg (left) meets Dr. Ruth Goldbloom, CM, Past President of the Pier 21 Society. Robert P. Moody, CEO of the Pier 21 Society looks on. They attended the ceremony which honoured new citizens of Canada.

Between 1928 and 1971, more than one million immigrants were welcomed into Canada through Pier 21, now a national historic site.
