Doug Langrell joined the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) as corporate development advisor in January 1998. Before joining the CGC, he worked for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Human Resources Branch, as its staff development consultant.
Currently he is responsible for assisting with strategic planning, facilitating group work, assisting with the fulfillment of the CGC's departmental obligations to central agencies such as Treasury Board, leading or helping to coordinate corporate initiatives such as the Service Improvement Initiative and certification to meet International Organization for Standardization (ISO), as well as training CGC staff in facilitation techniques.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Winnipeg, a Master of Arts (History) from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toronto.
