NOTE:
The lead-time is made up of the time required by CIISD to process the request plus the time needed by the host government. It begins upon receipt of the request by CIISD. Completion of a Visit Clearance Request for a foreign visit within these lead-times is contingent upon timely responses from foreign clearance-granting authorities.
- For Visit Clearance Requests coming from foreign industries/organizations and agencies to Canadian civilian establishments, the request must be received by CIISD 20 working days prior to the date of the visit.
NOTE:
The lead-time begins upon receipt of the request at CIISD.
- December Moratorium
U.S. and German authorities will not normally accept visit requests for a period of four-to-six weeks starting early in December.
