Walter Rubert

Walter Rubert began working for the Canadian Grain Commission in 1992 as supervisor, Grain Weighing Systems. In 1993-94, as a result of restructuring the CGC, he assumed responsibility for weighovers and scales. In his current position as coordinator, Weighovers, Scales and Samplers, he is responsible, through the weighing systems inspection staff, for the inspection and certification of grain weighing systems, and for the scheduling of grain stock weighovers at all terminal and transfer elevators. He is the national contact for sampling issues.

As an employee with Weights and Measures Canada from 1983 to 1992, Walter Rubert brought expertise to the CGC in the area of weighing systems requirements. He started as a Weights and Measures inspector in Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1983 and gained positions of increasing responsibility within Weights and Measures as installation inspector in Mississauga and afterward as volumetric specialist in Willowdale, Ontario.

Walter Rubert is a member of the Canadian Forum on Trade Measurement, the National Conference of Weights and Measures (USA), and the International Society of Weighing and Measurement (USA).
