Louise Sartorio

Manager, Inspector Training and Development
Inspector Training and Development
Industry Services

Louise Sartorio moved to Winnipeg to join Industry Services Headquarters staff in 2001 as manager, Inspector Training and Development. She is responsible for setting the national training plan for all CGC grain inspectors and ensuring that it's administered by the regional trainers.

Louise Sartorio's career as a grain inspector with the CGC began in 1976 when she became the first female assistant grain inspector hired by the CGC after a short term of employment as a lab technician in Thunder Bay, Ontario. While she was still working in Thunder Bay, she took on the assignment of acting inspector in charge in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

She left the Central Office inspection coordinator position in Thunder Bay to take on the responsibilities of inspection specialist in Vancouver, British Columbia, then on to her current position in Winnipeg from there.
