Blaine Timlick

Blaine Timlick is the senior entomologist and coordinator of the Infestation/Sanitation Program for the Canadian Grain Commission. He has been performing these duties since 1997 when he began working for the Canadian Grain Commission.

Blaine Timlick has been involved in the field of entomology in various capacities in Canada, the United States and Australia. Before joining the Canadian Grain Commission in 1997, he spent several years in research, examining insect pest population dynamics and control measures. His area of expertise is insect pests of cereals, pulses, forages and vegetables in field and in storage situations and he has numerous publications associated with these studies.

Blaine Timlick obtained a Bachelor of Science in plant protection and a Master of Science in entomology from the University of Manitoba. He received a Canadian Grain Commission award for excellence in 2000, an Agriculture Canada Agcellence award in 2001, and the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002.
