AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACT

Ontario Cheese Order

ORDER GRANTING AUTHORITY TO REGULATE THE MARKETING IN INTERPROVINCIAL AND EXPORT TRADE OF CHEESE PRODUCED IN ONTARIO

SHORT TITLE

1. This Order may be cited as the Ontario Cheese Order.

INTERPRETATION

2. In this Order,

"Act" means The Milk Act, 1965 of Ontario; (Loi)

"cheese" means cheese of every variety produced in Ontario; (fromage)

"Commission" means The Milk Commission of Ontario; (Commission)

"Commodity Board" means The Ontario Milk Marketing Board established by Order in Council of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario pursuant to the Act; (Office de commercialisation)

"Provincial Regulations" means the Cheese-Marketing Regulations, being O. Reg. 44-66 of February 17, 1966, made by the Commission pursuant to the Act. (règlement provincial)

INTERPROVINCIAL AND EXPORT TRADE

3. The Commission and the Commodity Board are each authorized to regulate the marketing of cheese in interprovincial and export trade and for such purposes may, with respect to persons and property situated within the Province of Ontario, exercise all or any powers like the powers exercisable by the Commission under sections 3, 4 and 8 to 12 of the Provincial Regulations and by the Commodity Board under sections 5 to 7 and subsection 8(3) of the Provincial Regulations in relation to the marketing of cheese locally within that Province.
