How Can You Sponsor a Refugee?

To sponsor a refugee, your group must use the application for the appropriate sponsorship program. Send your sponsorship application to the local immigration office with your application.

If you have not chosen or named a refugee you wish to sponsor, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) can match you with a refugee in need of resettlement.

For more information, see Integration-Net, a Web site that offers an overview of the work of the Canadian settlement community. It is a great information tool for the newly arrived, for service provider organizations and for sponsoring groups.
