Monthly Grain Dealer Reporting

The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) encourages grain dealer licensees to use the on-line reporting service to complete your Monthly Grain Dealer Report.

To secure and protect your information a username and password is required. Personal information collected is protected under the Privacy Act (Department of Justice Canada).

Using the on-line reporting service

First-time users must call 1-800-853-6705, and ask for CGC Statistics.

This on-line reporting service can only be used between the 1st and 15th of the month for reporting of your previous month’s handlings.

Report all shipments for the month and show the corresponding receipts, even if purchased in a previous month. That is, purchases made at the end of a month, but shipped at the beginning of the next month, should be reported as corresponding with the shipments.

After you submit your monthly report, please contact CGC Statistics if you need to make a correction.

If you have problems using this on-line reporting service, call CGC Client Services at 1-866-873-1660. For all other information, please call 1-800-853-6705 and ask for CGC Statistics or call directly at (204) 983-2739.

Alternate format

If you are unable to use the on-line reporting service, the report is available in an Adobe PDF format. Refer to our PDF help page for information on how to view, print and download PDF documents.

After printing out and completing your report, please mail or fax it in to:

Obligation to report

Canada Grain Regulations, Section 24: Licensed Grain Dealer Reports states that:

Every month each licensed grain dealer shall submit to the Commission a report made on a form supplied by the Commission or accepted by the Commission respecting the grain dealer’s operations during the preceding month.

Failure to comply with your obligations under the Canada Grain Act and Canada Grain Regulations could lead to the suspension or revocation of your licence. Please note that it is a serious offence to make a false report.
