Technological SupportDescriptionPerfectly aware of the urgency of situations faced by customers, CIFM's specialists and laboratory equipment are available for timely work in solving production or quality problems. Its services can assist in decision-making process regarding product composition. Some of the services offered by CIFM to help its customers acquaint themselves with the characteristics of metallic material include:
- chemical and metallographic analysis;
- mechanical tests (hardness, traction, folding, compression, impact, etc.); and
- hardenability, corrosion, salt spray, and cupping tests.
CIFM also offers the following services to help its customers better understand and predict the behavior of materials:
- studies of in-service failures;
- metallographic diagnoses of products;
- comparative studies of products;
- material selection and research of equivalents; and
- customer/supplier arbitration.
To promote better operations management, CIFM offers the following training services for operators, foremen, technicians, and engineers:
- situational analysis;
- training plan development;
- customized training;
- training for academic credit; and
