3D Technologies3D from Paintings and Old PhotosExamples of converting paintings and photos to 3D - Saenredam
The illustration on the left side of the screen shows an oil painting on panel, “The Old Town Hall, Amsterdam”, painted in 1657 by Pieter Jansz Saenredam and part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. The painting shows an ochre-coloured, three-storey, square main building with a deeply sloping gray roof. There is a covered arcade with three arches at the front of the building, and attached to the right and set slightly back is a taller rectangular tower. To the right of the tower and set back is a white building that has three stories and attic space. To the left and set slightly back of the main building is a rectangular reddish building with steps leading up to an entrance. A few people walking in the foreground give an idea of scale.
