Biography

Ziying Liu received her B.Sc in medical sciences in 1986 and her Master's degree in medical sciences in Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium in 1994. After she received her diploma of computer sciences in Praxis Institute in Canada in 1999, she joined the Integrated Reasoning Group at the Institute for Information Technology - National Research Council of Canada. She has worked on the BioMine project since then. Her interests are Data Mining, Knowledge Discovery, and the use of Database technologies in biomedical applications.
