VLSI CMOS Sensors
The ColorSens microchip seen in this photograph is composed of the two discrete response position sensors (DRPS). It measures about 4 mm by 10 mm. It integrates on the same microchip all that is needed to measure 3D data with both speed and accuracy. The microchip is made of silicon semiconductor that is used in almost all the electronic devices that surround us (PC, TV, Radio, DVD players, etc…).
