Bill C-27: CORRECTION

OTTAWA,

May 23, 1997 -- A news release issued by the Department of Justice on May 21, 1997, indicated that Bill C-27, An Act to Amend the Criminal Code (child prostitution, child sex tourism, criminal harassment and female genital mutilation (S.C. 1997, Chapter 16), came into force on May 20, 1997.

The correct date for coming into force is May 26, 1997.
