DEADLINE FOR FOURTH ANNUAL JUSTICIA AWARDS EXTENDED
OTTAWA, June 10, 2003 - The deadline for entries for the fourth annual Justicia Awards for Excellence in Journalism has been extended until June 23, 2003. The Justicia Awards recognize outstanding broadcast and print stories that foster public awareness and understanding of any aspect of the Canadian justice system and the roles played by institutions and participants in the legal system. The awards are sponsored by the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Commission of Canada and the Department of Justice. Two prize winners are selected by an independent panel of judges. To be eligible, stories must have been published or broadcast between May 16, 2002 and May 15, 2003. The fourth annual Justicia Awards for Excellence in Journalism will be presented
at the annual meeting of the Canadian Bar Association in Montreal on August
