Health Initiative

Health Initiative

The Health Initiative aims to promote the formation of an e-Health cluster in New Brunswick. We define e-Health broadly by the use of Information Technology in healthcare, and address various issues from web-enabled services to data mining.

Current Projects
Dermatology Diagnosis and Self-care Tool (DDST)
Geographic Information System Based Research in Cervical Cancer Incidence with Prognostic Factors in New Brunswick
Intelligent System for the Classification of Multiple Tumour Types Using Gene Expression Data from DNA Microarray
The Web-Integration of PROAFTN Methodology for Acute Leukemia Diagnosis

The group carries out research in: data processing, data integration, security, and web usability.

The e-Health research group's key competencies are: data mining, data clustering, OLAP, collaborative filtering, wavelets, operational research, subdivision schemes.
