NRC-IRAP

For more than 50 years, the National Research Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) has helped small and medium-sized Canadian enterprises (SMEs) create and adopt innovative technologies that yield new products, create high quality jobs, and make industry more competitive.

More than 260 Industrial Technology Advisors (ITAs) work with some 10,000 firms a year, in all regions of the country and in all industrial sectors. ITAs are located across the Maritimes.

NRC-IRAP offers direct technical assistance to the latest technological advances, expertise, facilities, and resources, as well as cost-shared financing of innovative technical projects. NRC-IRAP can also help you access expertise in the business end of innovation, such as marketing, financing and production through the Canadian Technology Network (CTN).
